Abstract

The paper addresses the current issue of goose farming development in Ukraine, focusing on the prospects of breeding Eskildsen geese. It is emphasized that to enhance the efficiency of goose production, there is a need for a more in depth study of their biological and economic characteristics. The article suggests that business models for goose breeding in Ukraine are insufficiently developed due to a lack of information and the absence of corporate marketing, despite the profitability of goose farming being approximately 75%. In the context of environmental sustainability, goose farming is identified as a stable source of high quality meat with economic benefits, as geese can derive a significant portion of their nutrition from pastures and forage.
