HEMATOLOGICAL AND BIOCCHEMICAL ANALYSES OF BLOOD INDICES IN DUCKS OF BLOGOVARSKYI CROSS

Abstract

The dynamics of hematological and biochemical blood indices in ducks of Blagovarskyi cross and their influence on the productivity and running of physiological processes were determined. The hemoglobin content of ducks blood was found to increase with age of the bird and was higher than normal (the norm for ducks from 120 to 140 g/l). In newborn ducklings, the hemoglobin level was 186.0 ± 6.58 g/l for females and 186.11 ± 7.12 g/l for males, representing 79.45 and 69.41% from the level that birds reached on the 196^th day respectively. The hemoglobin content was higher in the blood of 196-day-old females (P> 0.99) and males in 90- and 196-day-old females (P> 0.90-0.99) compared to one- day-old ducklings.The level of total protein and calcium in the serum of ducks 20-day-old is higher in males, which is 20.23% and 9.13% higher in females, respectively. The level of total serum protein of ducks 196-day-old increased in females, which was 39.24% higher than in males (P> 0.90).Alkaline phosphatase enzyme content was significantly reduced, respectively, at 16-day-old by 16.58% in males, at 90-day-old by 61.23% in females and 76.33% in males, at 196-day-old - by 66.49% in females and 95.64% in males, compared to one-day-old ducklings.
